TRAVEL INSURANCE
Like last year, Travel Guard Insurance is included in your tour cost except for the NASCAR weekend. (It is available for the NASCAR weekend for an additional charge.) The cost of the insurance increased last year, which we did not pass along to our customers, but this year it will be slightly higher but still very affordable for the coverage you receive. Since we implemented the insurance plan for the tours, Wiersema Charter will not refund payment for a tour if the cancellation is within 45 days of departure. If the cancellation is due to a hospitalization or other reason approved by the insurance company, the traveler will receive a refund through the insurance company.
The included insurance package is the “Basic” plan and is available for an upgrade to the “Deluxe” plan for an extra fee. The “Deluxe” program has higher monetary coverage for benefits such as medical expenses, etc.
We understand and recognize your right to decline the travel insurance. All you have to do is sign the appropriate area on your trip invoice and the insurance will be deducted from your total.
